**Shifts: Monday - Friday 8:30a - 4:30p**
**Status: Permanent Full Time**
**JOB SUMMARY**:
The People & Culture Assistant/Receptionist performs a number of activities and functions including: greeting all incoming visitors, answering questions when appropriate and notifying staff of their arrival; sorting and distributing mail; coordinating outgoing and incoming courier deliveries; answering telephone calls, responding to general inquiries and directing the caller to the appropriate person; maintaining an organized and tidy reception area; performing clerical support functions including: word-processing correspondence, photocopying, etc.; assisting Employee Records Counsellors with basic processing and other duties consistent with the job classification, as required.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Completion of Grade XII or recognized equivalent.
- Completion of a recognized post secondary office administration/secretarial program at the certificate level or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year related secretarial/office experience.
- Proven Outlook, word-processing, database and spreadsheet software experience including data analysis and mail-merge functions;
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Superior interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a complex environment.
- Ability to work independently and deal with ambiguity.
- Ability to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations.
- Ability to keep all matters confidential.
- Experience working in a Human Resources environment would be an asset
- Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
