Located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, West Vancouver is a vibrant community on the North Shore and home to parks, beaches, and to sports, recreation and arts amenities. Our dedicated staff deliver services, operate facilities and run the programs that enhance the well-being of our community.
Access Inclusion Support Workers are part of an Inclusion Support Team that promotes inclusion for children with disabilities. In addition to providing one-to-one support in summer camps, you will: assist camp staff, volunteers, and families/caregivers to implement existing support plans; promote consistency; and most importantly, help everyone to have fun and make friends at summer camp We are looking for people with enthusiasm and strong organizational skills to join our summer camp team.
Interviews will be scheduled in April (in person or virtually).
Mandatory Day Camp Staff Training will occur around the end of June (may take place on a weekend).
May 29- Sept 3, 2023 Pre-camp meetings, site preparation, training and camp date preparation.
Position Status:
Summer - Temporary, Full-Time
Please note: if Canada Summer Jobs funding for this position is approved, membership in the WVMEA will be mandatory.
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday: Daytime - 8 hours/day; anticipated duration of work will be from** **May 29, 2023- September 3, 2023
Rate of Pay:
$21 per hour plus 4% in lieu of benefits
