A career at NHC has you working within a specialized team of geoscientists, water resources engineers, hydrologists, surveyors, field technicians, and GIS specialists. Based in our **North Vancouver** office, you will contribute to a wide variety of river engineering and watershed restoration projects throughout BC and Western Canada.

NHC is looking for a junior surveyor to support our senior surveyors. The work is expected to include travel (typically days to a couple weeks) throughout BC to survey creeks, rivers, bridges, dikes, and other hydraulic structures primarily to support assessment and design. People who thrive in this role, love being in and around water, in remote locations, work well in a collaborative environment, and are self-motivated, able to prioritize multiple tasks, and manage tight deadlines. You should demonstrate a commitment to quality work, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience with total station surveys and RTK GPS surveys are essential.
- Comfortable working in remote locations and inclement weather conditions (demonstrated through professional experience or recreational pursuits).
- Ability to swim and has a valid driver’s license.

**Valued Skills**:

- Experience with boats and hydrographic surveys.
- Proficiency with data reduction software and drafting packages.
