Position Summary
The Social Media & Website Assistant is responsible for creating engaging and updating existing content on social media and website platforms. This position reports to Director of Strategic Marketing & Communications, St. Jude’s Academy Family of Schools.
- Take daily photos/video of scheduled/unscheduled Family of Schools events, academics, camps, sports and student life.
- Edit and manipulate photography and video for the creation of impactful content.
- Design or adapt graphics from brand asset libraries or internal creative graphic standards guidelines for use in content.
- Source visual assets, graphic elements, tools and techniques to facilitate timely production techniques.
- Work with internal teams to gather materials/ information for social media postings.
- Creatively write content to engage an intended target audience.
- Edit, or work with editors to ensure grammar and details accuracy.
- Ability to use social & digital media to effectively communicate or respond to others.
- Meet deadlines and organize time effectively.
- Update websites and social media platforms.
- Be an influencer for SJA and Family of Schools across all social media platforms.
- Keep abreast or ahead of all new social media platforms to capture new user trends and increase visibility of school.

Required:

- Mode of transportation required.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team on multiple assignments
- Must have a laptop, a phone and ability to attend off-site events.
- Recent (within 6 months) Vulnerable Sector Police Screening - Police Records Check completed by your local or regional Police Service.
