**About Us**: The Downtown Duncan Business Improvement Area (BIA) is a dynamic not for profit Society that enhances the economic vitality and vibrancy of the downtown Duncan business community. We are seeking a talented and experienced Social Media Specialist to join our team and play a key role in shaping our online presence.

**Reporting to**: Creative Director.

**Pay Rate**:$22 and $24 / hour

**Requirements**:

- Strong organizational skills.
- Expertise in all social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok) and their deployment strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and enjoy relationships with DDBIA members.
- Team player with leadership capabilities.
- Good technical understanding and ability to learn new hardware and software quickly.
- Experience in public relations, marketing, sales, and/or community engagement.
- Ability to use social media for impressions and brand awareness.
- Drone flying experience and drone pilot license.

**Qualifications**:

- 2 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role.
- Proven experience and content creation for Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and other social media platforms.
- Understanding of web traffic metrics.
- Experience with audience and buyer persona research.
- Familiarity with social media KPIs and an analytical mindset akin to understanding social media analytics.
- Excellent multitasking, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to and implement social media strategies to build brand awareness and generate inbound traffic.
- Create high-quality content aligned with DDBIA standards (photography, drone footage, video, online content development tools).
- Implement social media optimization (SMO) techniques.
- Stay updated with social media trends and best practices.
- Provide content to the Creative Director for review and approval on a weekly basis.
- Review, measure and report on social media metrics monthly.
- Manage monthly promotions and campaigns.
