Kaya Connection is a locally owned, licensed cannabis store located in the heart of downtown Parksville. We are a close knit team that takes pride in being knowledgeable about cannabis products & accessories to ensure we are giving the best recommendations for our customer's needs.

Kaya Connection is looking for a Store Manager to lead our team. As the Store Manager, you would be responsible for the overall day-to-day store operations, guest experience, talent development & recruitment, visual execution, appearance, and some administrative functions.

**Skills and Ability Requirements**:

- A valid Selling It Right Certificate
- Previous retail experience in the legal cannabis industry**:

- minimum 1 year**:

- Drivers license and reliable means of transport
- Through monitoring, planning, coaching, and appraising team results, achieve financial success that positively impacts the store performance.
- Responsible for hiring and succession planning to ensure open positions are filled in a timely manner with top talent.
- **Must** follow and enforce all store rules as well as regulations laid out by the government regarding sales of recreational cannabis.
- Using a POS System in a high volume retail setting, completing sales transactions from beginning to end.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and give support & direction to other staff members.
- Passion and desire for excellence by exceeding goals successfully and consistently.
- Proven ability to acquire, develop and retain top talent
- Microsoft Word and Excel competency
- Experience with social media, specifically Facebook and Instagram is preferred
- May require a criminal record/background check

**Operational Requirements**:

- Through monitoring, planning, coaching, and appraising team results, achieve financial success that positively impacts the store performance.
- Responsible for hiring and succession planning to ensure open positions are filled in a timely manner with top talent.
- Manage the training for the Cannabis Consultants
- Oversee the development of clientele, lead by example, build and maintain relationships with clients
- Consistently manage performance through accountability and development utilizing all company-driven policies, tools, and platforms.
- Ensure the store is being fiscally responsible by writing an effective schedule and adjusting one to the needs of the business daily.
- Submitting payroll.
- Identify, and communicate business trend information, and product feedback in order to drive sales and enhance the guest experience.
- Assist team on goal setting to ensure the highest level of guest experience and sales.
- Ensure Assistant Managers, Supervisors and Keyholders effectively utilize their responsibilities to take ownership of the business in their respective areas of responsibilities.
- Maintain a current understanding of Inventory processes and procedures.
- Support and assist the Inventory department as required.
- Ensuring that the front of house is maintained to be bright, organized and clean, keeping shelves stocked.
- Maintaining a strong knowledge of legal cannabis strains, products, and related cannabis accessories.
- Perform and supervise store opening and closing procedures as well as day to day operations.
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts including evening and weekends, performing both opening and closing duties

Compensation:

- Full-time - 40 hours/week
- Salary pay starting at $60,000.00
- Opportunity to earn raises accordingly
- Extended health and dental benefits after 3 month probationary period

**Experience**:

- LEGAL cannabis: 1 year (preferred)
- Management: 1 year (preferred)
