Norseman Structures is looking to add a Fiercely Reliable **Construction Trainer ** to our team.

The Construction Trainer is responsible for developing, designing and delivering training on Norseman’s specific installation procedures. The incumbent will review the building specifications to determine requirements and fully understand the construction scope, execution sequence, safety and quality considerations required. This position will also be utilized to qualify, train and onboard new installation subcontractors and dealers for the safe and efficient installation of the structures.

**Job Duties**
- Design, develop, and update general training programs for new hires, existing employees, and contractors, including safety procedures, equipment operation, and industry-specific required qualifications;
- Create training manuals, presentations, and other educational materials
- Collaborate with department heads and safety officers to identify training needs and opportunities;
- Ensure that all training materials and programs adhere to Norseman’s safety standards and regulatory compliance;
- Conduct engaging and informative training sessions for construction personnel on building installation standard operating procedures, safety-work practices, procedures, guidelines, and site-specific expectations;
- Assess the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations, feedback, and performance assessments.
- Assess the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations and feedback from trainees. Make necessary adjustments to continually improve training content and delivery;
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant progress, and certifications. Prepare reports as necessary; and
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and training enhancement and collaborate with management to implement necessary changes.

**Requirements**:

- Five (5) years’ experience as a trainer in the construction industry; Steel installation an asset.
- Red Seal Ticket for Ironwork or Metal Building Systems Erector an asset.
- Certification as a Trainer or relevant teaching certifications (e.g., MSHA certification) is an asset
- Proven experience in the construction industry, with a solid understanding of construction processes and safety protocols.
- Previous experience in designing and delivering training programs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Certification in Training and Development.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines on multiple simultaneous projects
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and shift priorities as necessary.
- Accurate and thorough; looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
- Pro-active and self-directed; yet able to work as part of a team.
- Possess strong analytical skills
- Ability to communicate collaboratively with customers and team members.
- Proficiency in the following areas: time management, written and verbal communication, problem solving and the use of Excel and Word
