Heavy Equipment Yard Coordinator/ Washer plays a crucial role in maintaining the longevity and functionality of heavy machinery, contributing to safe and efficient operations in the yard and shop within our rental department.
This position will be crucial to maintaining our rental fleet’s appearance and to provide value for our dedicated customers.
What you will be doing:
- Thoroughly wash exterior of all heavy machinery, such as excavators, Wheel loaders, Rock trucks using pressure washers, hoses, and cleaning agents to remove dirt, mud, grease, and debris.
- Clean interior of all machines within rental or sale fleet as per operating standard.
- Operate machinery in our yard, load, and unload equipment as necessary.
- Perform basic maintenance such greasing, ensuring all fluid levels are properly filled.
- Ensure all rental equipment are tagged reflecting status upon return or delivery.
- Adhere to safety protocols, ensure equipment is properly shut down, and safety locs are engaged before cleaning.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Perform visual inspections of equipment to identify and damage, leaks or maintenance issues that need to be reported to supervisors.
- Assist maintenance teams by preparing equipment for repairs and ensuring it is clean and accessible for servicing.
- Maintain records of equipment cleaning schedules, and maintenance tasks, and any issues discovered during cleaning.
- Follow environmental regulations when handling and disposing of cleaning agents and wastewater, ensuring compliance with local and federal laws.
- Develop a basic understanding of equipment being cleaned to avoid damaging sensitive components during the washing process.
- Collaborate with other workers, including rental team, technicians, and service advisors; To ensure efficient and safe cleaning operations.
- Manage and replenish cleaning supplies, such as detergents, brushes, and safety equipment, as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on pressure washers and other cleaning tools to ensure they remain in good working condition.
- Strive to complete cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards to minimize equipment downtime.
- Communicate effectively with managers, supervisors and colleagues regarding equipment conditions, maintenance needs and cleaning schedules.
- Be prepared to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing schedules based on equipment availability and operational needs.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
