**POSITION**:Junior Buyer

**REPORTS TO**: Purchasing Manager

**START DATE**: ASAP

**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Enter and place purchase orders with vendors
- Administer and manage supplier databases, weekly purchase orders and logistic collections schedules
- Investigate and respond to invoice queries or discrepancies
- Expedite purchase orders to ensure timely delivery
- Maintain organized records of open purchase orders with accurate ship dates and costs in Visual ERP system
- Resolve issues with vendor invoices, freight costs, etc, ensuring to negotiate best possible outcome
- Provide timely and accurate information to internal customers and outside vendor requests
- Keep up to date records on all assigned projects, issues and inventory status
- Assist in resolution of identified shortages from internal customers as well as critical shortages identified by the contract manufacturer
- Responsible for reorder point (min/max) purchases
- Maintain lead-time accuracy/ Safety Stock in Visual
- Maintaining calendar for tracking order deliveries and updating production

**REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- University Degree/ College Diploma in a relevant field
- 2 years of prior experience working in a purchasing team
- Experience working with an ERP system (Visual preferred)
- Experience with Customs and Imports would be considered an asset

**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Organized, strong ability to multi-task
- High degree of accuracy
- Ability to develop strong relationships with suppliers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong listening skills and ability to gather and evaluate information independently
- Flexible and open to trying new things; works well as a team

**Salary**: $40,841.54-$56,875.99 per year
