**Primary responsibilities include**:

- Accountable for enabling Alternatives’ AUM and revenue growth in the region
- Relationship builder and strong influencer, with a proven track record of developing and maintaining robust alliances with senior stakeholders across the broader business
- Viewed as a strategic leader who proactively adapts strategies and innovates new pathways to achieve financial growth targets if obstacles arise
- Recognized as a sought-after trusted partner who advocates Alternatives’ vision to be the global leader and accelerates Alternatives’ reputation and industry influence by convincingly representing Alternatives at internal and external forums
- Prominent proponent of Mercer Alternatives’ value proposition, competitive differentiation and capabilities through multiple PR/marketing mediums, client and industry channels
- Aptly identifies client needs and market trends to support strategy design and the development and implementation of a comprehensive pre-marking/fundraising strategy and plan for our Alternatives growth across the continuum by demonstrating strong project management acumen and stakeholder involvement and engagement

**We will count on you to**:

- Partner closely with the Canada Investments Leader and OCIO Leader to ensure AUM and revenue growth priorities are clear and globally coordinated (lessons learned/success enablers are shared; motivates teams to build strong relationships)
- Adeptly speak to market trends, client case studies, historical performance, investment opportunities, etc. to support AUM/revenue growth
- Leverage/develop enablement tools and training protocols to achieve excellence in engaging with consultants, clients and prospects as evident by winning new, profitable business that exceeds annual financial targets

**Qualifications and Preferred Skills**
- BA/BS degree in finance, economics, or other business-related areas
- Strong foundational knowledge and experience in Alternatives, particularly in working with clients on sophisticated mandates; breadth across private equity, private debt, real estate, infrastructure and/or hedge funds, with a strong growth mindset to continually broaden and deepen asset class expertise
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to function in both team-based and independent activities with modest oversight
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to execute on strategic plan
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Prior sales/commercial strategy and business growth/transformation experience

- Lead and manage multiple projects end-to-end simultaneously, demonstrating strong engagement with Alts' and other business stakeholders; communicate findings, recommendations, and results in concise, actionable reports and presentations
- CAIA or CFA
