DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Field Crew Supervisor, you will be working with multidisciplinary teams on various types of projects. Your and duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Supervising a survey crew and completing field surveys for legal, construction, development and engineering projects;
- Communicating with OLS's and Project Managers to oversee project timing, budget, scope and survey methodology;
- Recording field notes and managing data files, ensuring proper field quality control and quality assurance for all observations and measurement techniques; and
- Operating and maintaining all types of survey equipment including RTK, RTN, and PPP GNSS equipment, Digital Levels, Robotic Total Stations and LiDAR Scanners.

PROJECT SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- We have been awarded a large multi-year contract in the Kingston-West area and are looking for someone to focus full time on this project, with assistance from other field crews.
- This position is available to someone who is currently living, or willing to relocate to the Kingston area.
- Market leading compensation and relocation allowances are available

QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of a college diploma as a Survey Technician or Civil Engineering Technology is considered an asset;
- 3-5 years' of experience as a Field Crew Supervisor completing Engineering Surveys and Construction layout, legal and topographic surveys,
- Ability to manage time and budget expectations, and to work efficiently;
- Ability and willingness to approach a problem and find solutions;
- Advanced knowledge of field survey methodologies and practices;
- Ability to make sound, knowledge-based decisions;
- Knowledge of basic math, basic adjustment/network principles and concepts;
- Able and willing to work in a rugged environmental in all types of weather;
- Physical capability to carry survey equipment and other materials over long distances is required;
- Chainsaw safety course is considered an asset;
- Computer literate - working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsurvey, TBC, and Microsoft Office programs is considered an asset;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English;
- Detail-oriented with an ability to think through problems creatively;
- Ability to work effectively as both a leader and part of a team;
- General knowledge of applicable professional legislation;
- Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance; and
