The Westin Bear Mountain Resort & Spa in Victoria is a luxurious 5-star hotel with 91 rooms, a restaurant, a bar and lounge area, a 300-person ballroom, and conference facilities. The hotel is part of the Westin brand, which falls under the Marriott umbrella. The hotel also features a state-of-the-art spa and serenity pool.

**About the position**

Our hotel is looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our 91-room property. In this position, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance and repair of the hotel’s interior and exterior facilities while maintaining employee and guest safety, smooth and efficient operations, good appearance, compliance with legislation, suitable working conditions and cost control. The responsibility will include maintaining electrical equipment and assist with general repairs and preventative maintenance of the hotel including plumbing, heating, air conditioning, painting, carpentry and general maintenance.

**About the job**
- Organize, implement and track all maintenance projects for guestrooms and public areas;
- Oversee general operational and preventative maintenance of systems including boilers and heating systems, HVAC systems, pool facilities and general plumbing issues;
- Maintain hotel guest rooms and public areas by performing routine maintenance jobs and repairs;
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on heating, cooling and ventilation systems;
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on plumbing systems, electrical systems and appliances;
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on kitchen equipment;
- Maintain the integrity of pool by ensuring a safe chemical balance through frequent testing;
- Responsible for the Fire Panel and available for call
- outs;
- Ensure effective and timely interaction with all Hotel departments and positively impact guest experience by effectively and efficiently resolving maintenance concerns

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
