**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and oversee all aspects of the music program
- Develop and implement lesson plans for music education
- Coordinate and schedule music classes and performances
- Provide instruction in various musical instruments and vocal techniques
- Collaborate with other staff members to integrate music into other areas of the curriculum
- Organize and direct musical performances and productions
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
- Maintain music equipment, instruments, and materials

**Skills**:

- Strong knowledge and proficiency in music theory, composition, and performance
- Ability to teach and instruct students of different ages and skill levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with students, parents, and staff members
- Strong organizational skills to plan lessons, schedule classes, and coordinate performances
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm to engage students in music education
- Experience working with children or in a similar educational setting

Note: Culinary, adult education, cooking, special education, theater, childhood development, preschool, sewing experience are not directly relevant to the Music Manager position.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months
Part-time hours: 10-20 per week

**Salary**: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- North Vancouver, BC V7R 2N4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- Administrative: 1 year (required)

**Language**:

- English (required)
- Farsi (preferred)
- French (preferred)

Work Location: In person
