**Purpose**: The purpose of this position is to assist SDTC in its ongoing value chain analysis and provide support to assess the value propositions and business cases of SDTC supported firms.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Mapping and developing a strategic growth plan of the supply chains of Canada’s critical industries, with a focus on companies developing technologies the transition to net-zero.
- Thinking critically, utilizing knowledge of the global and Canadian innovation and industrial landscape, and possessing the capacity to comprehend both archival and statistical data.
- Outputs expected are briefing documents, developed methodological framework, mapping of three priority value chains, and future policy programmatic suggestions.

**Skills and Knowledge Required**:
Education: Currently enrolled in a global affair, public policy, business administration, management, economics, finance, or accounting degree.

Experience: Financial industry knowledge is an asset.

**Technical Skills**:

- Quantitative research and analysis experience.
- Superior knowledge of MS Office.

**Non-Technical Skills**:

- Analytical mind with a critical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capacity to retrieve large amounts of data from diverse sources.
- Ability to work with little supervision and with others to complete projects.
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to a very fluid, rapidly changing environment.
- Proactive, positive workplace attitude and willingness to create an impact in each given task.
- Time management and organizational skills.

**Assets**:

- Knowledge of French.
- Interest in innovation.
