Title: Events / Marketing Coordinator

Position: Part Time, 3 days per week with flexible working hours.

**The Position**

The part time Events / Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for driving tenant engagement and bringing Kevington’s community brand to life through in-person events and through social media. We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic rockstar who has creativity, is results-oriented, has a passion for event planning and connecting with people to foster a vibrant community culture.
**- Key Responsibilities -**

**Event Planning & Execution**:

- Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events and activities, such as social gatherings, workshops, and seasonal and holiday celebrations.
- Ensure that events are well-organized, safe, and enjoyable for all building tenants.
- Oversee event logistics, including budgeting, scheduling, decor, and vendor coordination.
- Work with Kevington’s operations team to design, build, and install event decorations.

**Tenant Engagement**:

- Encourage tenants to know their neighbours by creating interactive stations in the building lobby / common areas that allow tenants to perform an activity with their neighbours such puzzles, word searches, and boardgames.
- Promote tenant participation in building events to create a sense of excitement and participation.
- Foster a positive and inclusive community atmosphere within the building.

**Marketing and Promotion**:

- Assist with social media posts and content creation.
- Design and update signage for the internal PowerPoint messaging screens.
- Create marketing materials and communication messages to promote upcoming events and activities.
- Stay informed on marketing trends and best practices.

**Budget Management**:

- Ensure cost-effective expenditures for event planning and manage the event budget.
- Explore partnerships and sponsorships.

**General Schedule**:
The position features flexible working hours to allow the Event Coordinator to plan, attend events and engage with tenants. The Community Coordinator will work with senior management to schedule the events. The events may occur weekdays, weekends, and evenings. The Community Coordinator can expect to produce a minimum of 2 in-person events per month and have the ability to work from home or from our head office depending on their duties.

**Skills Required for Success**:
**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in event planning and management.
- Experience in Social Media Marketing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.
- Self-starter and a team player with an outgoing, people-oriented personality.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with exceptional prioritization skills.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, when required.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Willing to commute to properties located in Vancouver, North Vancouver, and Coquitlam.
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Must provide an acceptable Police Information Check (criminal record check)

**Demonstrated proficiency with**:

- Google Workspace
- Microsoft and Excel
- PowerPoint
- Social Media proficiencies (Facebook, Instagram)
