**Initially assigned to**: Oak Street location

**Purpose**:
Under the supervision of the Program Manager for Addiction Services, the Clinical Supervisor will provide one to one counselling/therapy to residents, facilitate group therapy sessions, assist in program co-ordination and development, as well as provide clinical supervision to the addiction case managers.

**Education and training**:

- A University Degree in Counselling/Social Work (preferably Master’s)
- Registration, in good standing, with a professional College that governs the controlled act of psychotherapy OCSWSSW/CRPO/CNO) is required
- Specialized training in the treatment of substance use disorders (Certified Addiction Counsellor (CAC11) or A (I.C.A.D.C.)
- Clinical Supervision Training or equivalent in experience

**Requirements**:

- A negative Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- A valid class G driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Daily access to a reliable vehicle
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate required
- Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) training or willingness to obtain
- Able to lift at a minimum 50 lbs. from squatting to standing position
- Bilingualism (English/French) is required

**Experience**:

- Minimum 3 years of demonstrated knowledge/experience in a leadership position/role within a community based health care setting (preferably substance use/concurrent disorders specific).
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience working with vulnerable populations, specifically adults living with substance use disorder or concurrent disorders.
- Experience working in a residential substance use treatment setting, working knowledge of community resources and how to access resources.

**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**:

- Knowledge of and ability to interpret various substance-use assessment tools (GAINS, ADAT, etc.)
- Ability to implement various treatment modalities (MI, CBT, Relapse Prevention) with individuals who with substance use disorder/concurrent disorders.
- Effective problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in managing challenging behaviours in a respectful and meaningful way.
- Excellent interpersonal/verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality as per PHIPA (Personal Health Information Protection Act)
- Working knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Residential Tenancy Act and the Health Care Consent Act.
- Ability to work cooperatively and independently with mínimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Basic working knowledge of computer software.
- Facilitate scheduled individual and group clinical supervision sessions, in addition to providing tailored individual and group support, in alignment with administrative policies and the specific needs of employees
- Demonstrated ability to manage and meet deadlines.

**Salary**: $31.81- 36.94/hour
