**What You’ll Do**

Gyptech is seeking an **Assembly Lead Hand** to oversee and coordinate the activities of our assembly team to ensure timely completion of projects. This role will be reporting to the Production Manager. Your role will involve:

- Supervise the setup and alignment of machinery components, including motors, bearings, gears, and shafts, using precision measuring instruments and alignment tools.
- Coordinate with engineering and production teams to understand assembly requirements and develop efficient assembly procedures.
- Inspect and test assembled machinery and equipment to verify proper operation and identify any defects or deficiencies.
- Train and mentor team members in proper assembly techniques, safety protocols, and equipment operation procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline assembly processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and open communication among team members.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety awareness and accountability among team members.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations as required.

This position is based out of our manufacturing facility in Oakville. The hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm with some overtime required.

**What You Offer**
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a custom machinery assembly/fabrication setting. Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) or related qualification would be an asset.
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control and other techniques to maximize effective assembly of project builds and orders
- Excellent verbal and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members, supervisors, and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures, with a commitment to promoting a safe working environment.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Supervisory experience is an asset
- Experience with Infor Syteline ERP is an asset.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor is an asset
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
