**What will you work on?**
The Manager, Corporate Accounting will be accountable for the financial close for Spin Master Toys, North America. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Accounting, this contract position will lead the corporate accounting team through the month-end closing processes, perform various analysis and reporting while ensuring all internal controls are being met. This role will be key within the accounting department for North America and the global accounting groups.
**How will you create impact?**
- Full cycle month end closing duties include but not limited to:
- Review of journal entries including revenue recognition, expense drawdowns, accruals, payroll, etc.
- Managing capital assets
- Perform and analyze F/X revaluations
- Review Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Financial result analysis and variance explanations
- Mentor and coach junior corporate accounting team members
- Prepare Consolidated PPE and Intangible assets schedules
- Review working capital FX impact reporting
- Support Finance transformation projects and drive continuous process improvement
- Support internal and external audits, as required
- Business partner with key teams including but not limited to Treasury, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, etc.
**What are your skills and experience?**
- CPA designation (or working towards CPA designation)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS)
- Strong computer literacy with advanced level Excel skill (pivots, v-lookups, and advanced formulas) are required
- Knowledge of and experience with SAP is mandatory
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in public company setting or public accounting firm
