Our Information Security Team is looking for a
**Security Operations Manager** to lead in the engineering, design, deployment and management of security solutions across Varicent’s products, Cloud and corporate environments. We’re looking for someone who has an expert understanding of security tools and technologies and a passion for working with them to help appropriately identify malicious activity / threats via threat hunting activities, responding to incidents, and analyzing vulnerabilities while collaboratively working with stakeholders across the organization.

**Security Operations Manager **will manage the Security Operations, Threat Intelligence and Threat Hunting activities of our security program across Varicent’s products, Cloud and corporate environments to appropriately mitigate risk for Varicent and its customers.
- Remote role in the GTA area
**What you will do**:
- Lead and collaborate with stakeholders in the management of the security program objectives and execution of risk reduction initiatives.
- Lead the engineering, design, deployment and management of cyber threat intelligence and security operations capabilities.
- Keep current with the threat landscape and mitigation strategies to minimize cyber risk and threats that might impact Varicent.
- Provide expert knowledge of Threat Intelligence processes and technologies related to SIEM, EDR, DLP, threat hunting, Incident response, and cloud security.
- Conduct risk assessments and gap analysis to continue to mature cybersecurity controls and to support projects and business stakeholders.
- Mentor more junior staff and foster a collaborative work environment and positive culture.
- Collaborate with peers and stakeholders in the implementation of security solutions and any active projects as requested.
- Conduct threat hunting, security event triage and investigations using SIEM, DLP, EDR and other security solutions as required.
- Recommend strategies, solutions, and improvements to management
**What you will bring**:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in information security and security operations with the ability to clearly communicate risk to business and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Technology Management, Information Security, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years experience in Information Security, Threat Intelligence, Security Operations, Cloud Security.
- Must have cloud security certifications: Certified Cloud Security Professional, Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge CCSKv4. Other security certifications such as Certified Information Security Manager, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Ethical Hacker are nice-to-have.
- Experience working with public cloud service providers infrastructure such as AWS, IBM, GCP, Azure will be an asset.
- Expert knowledge of Threat Intelligence processes and technologies related to SIEM, EDR, DLP, threat hunting, Incident response, and cloud security. Leadership experience in a SOC is an asset.
- Knowledge of security standards and frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001/2, etc.)
- Knowledge of Zero Trust, Endpoint and Mobile Device Management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills, high energy, and continuous learning attitude.
