Clinical Research Coordinator, Libin Cardiovascular

Reporting to the Libin Clinical Director.
**Summary of Key Responsibilities** (job functions include but are not limited to):
- Develop and maintain protocols, standard operating procedures, consent forms, ethics forms and submissions and other aspects related to coordination of clinical trials as per University of Calgary policies
- Organize amyloid initiative team meetings, preparing meeting agendas and recording minutes
- Liaise with program research coordinators, physicians, nurses, students and trainees involved in research
- Contact and work with external collaborators and research staff at other institutions
- Data collection directly from medical charts and records
- Data entry and basic (summarizing) data analysis
- Generate PowerPoint presentations and reports for the Program Director and research team
- Assist with presenting as required
- Participate in and recording minutes for teleconferences
- Provide mentoring and direction to others including trainees and students
- Other Amyloidosis Program of Calgary or clinical research related duties as assigned
**Qualifications / Requirements**:
- Bachelor Degree in a health-related field is required
- Master Degree in a health-related field is highly preferred
- Minimum 3 years of related clinical research experience
- Knowledge of the University of Calgary processes and procedures is an asset
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and reference software (Zotero or EndNote)
- Experience in a clinical cardiovascular disease setting is an asset, prior experience with amyloidosis as a disease entity an asset
- Experience conducting chart and medical record reviews is required
- Demonstrated strong communication and team skills, and an ability to exercise judgment within established guidelines
- Demonstrated critical and innovative thinking is an asset
- Demonstrated time management and project management skills are an asset
