**JOB SUMMARY**

This position reports to the Operations Manager, and acts as the primary support person for the day-to-day client contact service teams/operations to ensure quality standards are met and the integrity of the client records/system are maintained and compliant.

Facilitate customs entries, and customs process entries completion. Accountable for a range of client and customs process management and compliance activities, including release support, TMS database management, client and Driver communications and updating, following up and advising of any service delivery delays to clients and communicate proactively for customer satisfaction. This position assists in ensuring that all Order entries are entered accurately, and billing details are clear and concise, and finally to maintain Metro xpress Service Excellence standards meet our clients' complete satisfaction.

**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Build and maintain excellent, direct working relationships with the client and provide day to day contact and support.
- Prioritize and complete work according to client's needs, demands, customs requirements.
- Create and proactively maintain client communications daily and on a regular schedule of advisement.
- Database management, ensuring all associated system maintenance files/information, associated vendors and keywords are accurate and current in order processing while updating client’s information as necessary.
- Verify documentation for customs release conditions, compliance (e.g., free trade certificates, Point of Origins, BOL, and CCI).
- Create, maintain, and adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Exceptions to Standard Procedures (ESPs).
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, operational productivity, and relationships within our North American service operations.
- Ensure accurate and timely communications to drivers with release and entry information of shipments on all of our modes of transportation for their assigned trips and including completed Releases.
- Provide support to the Operations team members to ensure accurate information and communications are fully documented and recorded on all order notes within the company TMS. Mandated service levels must always be the focus of our clients..
- Escalate items for additional resolutions or return entries to team members and recommend corrective actions for advising the client of any customs Issues or transportation delays. Provide alternative solutions or required information needed promptly to ensure adequate details are communicated to expedite the process of solutions..
- In a professional manner, work directly with, the contact clients, to obtain missing documentation, information and/or instructions.
- Works directly with Customs to process all entries and gain customs clearances.
- Conduct periodic checks to ensure timely customs entries are acquired and sent to the appropriate drivers to cross.
- Responsible for conducting documented internal customs audit.
- Participate fully with other team members in the day-to-day operations of the dispatch / operations, including setting priorities, organizing and scheduling work, coordinating with others, problem-solving and decision-making, participating in meetings and handling special projects.
- Proactively coordinate and implement electronic data relationships to gain efficiency and improve one-step processing.
- Keep abreast of new systems developments.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures.

**WORK EXPERIENCE - MINIMUM REQUIRED**

**2 years of related experience**

**EDUCATION**

**Required: High School/GED or equivalent**

**Preferred: Post-secondary education**

**CERTIFICATIONS DESCRIPTION**

**Working towards/or successful completion of the Certified Customs Specialists (CCS) designation, if not already obtained.**
