**PulseAir Heart & Lung Centre** is a collaboration of Edmonton Cardiology Consultants, Advanced Respiratory Care Network and Inspiromed providing a range of expertise in cardiology, respirology, sleep medicine, internal medicine, and allergy.

Our areas of diagnostics and therapeutics include echocardiography, exercise stress testing, 24 and 48 hour holter monitoring, pulmonary function testing, level 1 and level 3 sleep testing, 24 hour BP monitoring, CPAP and BiPAP therapy, respiratory home care and home oxygen therapy and allergy testing.

**The** **Role**:
Are you a patient focused **Medical Office Assistant (MOA) **with excellent clinical skills looking for a new and dynamic role? We are hiring for a casual position which focuses on **assisting the Cardiology Technologists and Cardiologists with cardiac testing such as Exercise Stress Testing and Ambulatory Holter Monitoring** in our busy clinic in **South Edmonton. **The position may also cover the sleep studies and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring patient schedule as well.

**The Responsibilities Include**:

- The MOA welcomes patients in a friendly and professional manner and follows the policies and procedures for the type of appointment referred.
- The MOA is knowledgeable in the different types of off-site testing, including holter monitoring, sleep studies and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and understands how different equipment works, how to diagnose equipment errors, patient education and information/result processing.
- The MOA must have excellent multitasking skills and the ability to pick up on many different procedures within the clinic.
- Uses Healthquest to maintain the patient schedule.
- Prepare patient charts depending on their appointment type.
- Answers questions providing excellent patient care, easing patient anxieties.
- Scanning and linking patient documents into charts and auditing to ensure accuracy.
- Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly condition and ensures the examination rooms are properly supplied and operational at all times.
- Maintains equipment including cleanliness and functionality through maintenance and cleaning policies.
- Maintains patient privacy and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Works with an interdisciplinary team and other support staff to provide optimal patient care.

**The Requirements**:

- 1 year experience in a similar role performing patient care and office duties (pulmonology/cardiology clinic knowledge is an asset).
- Excellent computer knowledge and data-entry skills. (Healthquest/Microquest knowledge is an asset).
- Detail oriented, good planning and organizational skills
- Excellent multitasking and communication skills
- BLS certification
- Full immunization status
