Regina, Canada The Regina Ecomuseum Full time

**About us**

Our work environment includes:

- Work-from-home days
- Flexible working hours
- On-the-job training
- Casual work attire

We are the REM, Your Museum Without Walls, and we are looking for 2 summer students for 8 weeks of employment. The start date is flexible, but we are aiming for the beginning to mid-June. This position is mainly remote but will require in-person meetings. The summer student will have the opportunity to curate a small display based on items from the REM collection and Regina's stories, gain experience in collections management, and how to connect professionally with community members and respectfully tell their stories. This position pays $18/hr with 35-hour work weeks with flexible working hours.

You will be just what we are looking for if you:

- Enjoy researching heritage topics of Regina and exploring artifacts in the REM collection.
- Love listening to storytellers and want to help conduct and transcribe interviews with Regina's storytellers.
- Develop displays for our Story Stop Programs.
- You are social media savvy. We have an amazing social media program and need assistance with content creation and analytics, as well as updating the website.
- Assist museum staff with Story Stops Programming.
- Requirements as a Canada Summer Student:_
- The youth must be 15 years of age at the beginning of the employment period. The youth may be more than 30 years of age at the end of the employment period as long as the youth was 30 at the beginning of the employment period._
- International students are not eligible participants. International students include anyone who is temporarily in Canada for studies and who is not a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada. Youths awaiting a refugee status ruling, as well as those who hold temporary visitor visa, youth visa, or work visa are ineligible. As the objective of the Canada Summer Jobs program is to support youth entering the Canadian labour market, the temporary nature of an international student’s time in Canada does not allow for a long-term connection to the labour market._

Does this sound like you - we sure hope so
