BCIT’s **School of Health Sciences** is seeking a **temporary, full-time (1.0 **FTE**) Faculty, Perioperative Nursing** in the Specialty Nursing program.

We provide innovative education through leadership, scholarship, and collaboration, to advance excellence in Specialty Nursing practice in the global healthcare environment. **DUTIES** &

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide excellence in teaching and learning experiences for students through innovative classroom, simulation, clinical and distance-online education.
- Participate in future focused curriculum development by designing, developing, evaluating and revising high quality learning materials.
- Collaborate with external partners to strengthen program partnerships and improve health outcomes.
- Actively participate in projects and initiatives in the Specialty Nursing Department, School of Health Science and BCIT.
- Contribute to and support a healthy, collegial and scholarly work environment through professional development, professional practice and/or participation in research.

**Qualifications**

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Five years recent clinical experience in Perioperative Nursing; some tertiary care experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred (one degree must be in Nursing).
- Experience in nursing education.
- Advanced Specialty Nursing Certificate or CNA Certification preferred.
- Must possess a participatory, learner-centered philosophy.
- Excellent communication, teamwork and leadership skills.
- Current BCCNM practicing license.
- Computer literacy required, and educational technology preferred.
- Ability to travel to clinical sites and campus (as required).

**Salary Range**
- Salary Range: $65,045 - $113,545 per annum.**Additional Salary Information**
- Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment. Salary based on education, experience and placement criteria as outlined in the Collective Agreement.Position Details
