**General Manager - Jamie Platz Family YMCA**

The Northern Alberta YMCA is looking for a proven leader to support the work of a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The General Manager is responsible for a Community Centre in one community, which would include site-wide accountability for Health, Safety & Child Protection, Philanthropy, Maintenance, Programming and People operations. Revenue & Expense responsibility of more than $2 million and Employee Headcount responsibility of more than 50.

**Position Res**
**ponsibilities**- Recruit, hire, train and manage direct reports, ensure all direct reports, monitor other recruitment throughout the Centre.-
- Monitor workload for staff, practice and recommend improvements for efficiency.-
- Provide leadership and strategic vision to better service program delivery, follow trends and develop them into the program strategies, involve staff in strategic planning and visioning of activities. Recommend partnership when applicable, identify where quality improvements could be implemented and consistently work towards making the Centre more efficient, and individualize the Centre to the community they serve.-
- Monitor recruitment, assessments, selection, training, and support of program participants.-
- Ensure effective practice and risk management in all direct service delivery activities.-
- Develop, manage and maintain approved budgets, meet and/or exceed net contribution and productivity targets. Meet and/or exceed Opportunity Fund and Philanthropy Centre targets. Recommend, coordinate, and implement approved fiscal management strategies.-
- Ensure program financial operations meet contractual obligations and financial target to achieve effective and efficient operations.-
- Provide leadership and strategic vision to facility management, health and safety and administration support services to meet the needs of facilities and programs in accordance with the YMCA Quality Service Standards.-
- Develop, recommend and implement approved promotional and marketing materials in accordance with Association graphic standards.-
- Leads the Centre and association in implementing and achieving goals.**What You’ll Need for This Job**- University Degree in Human Services, Recreation or related field-
- Annual registration in a professional organization as required by law if applicable-
- Valid Driver’s License and vehicle-
- 5 years’ experience in community programming delivery-
- 3-5 years’ experience in staff and/or volunteer management-
- Certifications: Standard First Aid & CPR-C-
