**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a hands-on, guest-oriented individual that considers themselves a “jack-of-all-trades” type. Using power tools and hand tools, our maintenance team provides general labour, maintenance assistance and preventative maintenance functions for the Maintenance Department of the hotel.

**Duties**:

- Maintain the overall good repair of hotel rooms including all facilities, furnishings and fixtures;
- Complete all work orders as assigned and in a timely manner;
- Repair and maintain hotel room heating/ventilation system;
- Perform general plumbing tasks as required to repair sinks, toilets, tubs/showers;
- Assist with renovation projects and upgrades;
- Assist with maintaining the kitchen, laundry, pool, spa, and fitness areas & equipment;
- Communicate effectively with all other departments in the hotel, including housekeeping, front desk, and F&B;
- Ensure upkeep of the common areas and grounds;
- Perform scheduled routine maintenance on equipment;
- Respond to guest and staff requests in rooms and public spaces;
- Use both power and hand tools in a safe, efficient manner;
- Perform other related duties as requested by the Maintenance Manager or Executive Team;
**Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**:

- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems; strong initiative and attention to detail;
- Use time management skills to prioritize work orders, radio calls, and other general job functions;
- Knowledge of AV and computer systems; a willingness to adapt to new technology;
- A passion for customer service and hospitality; well-developed interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work safely in unsupervised environment;
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs, must be in good physical condition;
- A demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to a team environment;
**Required Training and Experience**:

- Previous maintenance experience preferred;
- Painting experience, related machinery and hand tool experience is an asset;
- Required licenses, certificates and registrations:

- Valid WHMIS certificate is an asset;
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle is required.
- CSTS 2020 is an asset

**Salary**: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
