We are looking for a Clerk to join our Commercial Real Estate and Development practice group. This position can be performed in a hybrid model after completion of the probationary period.

**Hours of Work**:35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Additional Hours maybe required based on operational needs.

**What you will be doing**
- Drafting purchase, sale and mortgage documents
- Liaising with lawyers and accounting department to complete day of closing administration
- Reporting to clients and lenders
- Drafting and registering a variety of land registration documents, including, Applications, Charges and Discharges, Condominium by-laws, Easements, Notices, Restrictions, and Transfers in both Registry and Land Titles system
- Preparing standard builder documents using builder software programs, liaising with lawyers, purchasers and consultants to complete subdivision and condominium project closings
- Reporting to Tarion and Excess Condominium Deposit Insurers regarding purchaser deposit compliance.
- Adhere to all company’s policies, guidelines and statutory/legislative requirements.
- Attend and participate in team and supervision meetings.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**Required Qualifications and Skills**
- Completion of a post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk course.
- Experience and knowledge of commercial Real Estate/Development processes and documents.
- Minimum 3 years experience.
- Proficient in formatting legal documents and explaining them to clients.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to deadlines and the dynamic nature of commercial development real estate transactions.
- Skilled at handling transactions from beginning to end.
- Ability to work well in a team environment employing good communication and social skills,
- Recognize and respect people’s diversity, individual differences and perspective.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Well versed in MS Word, Conveyancer and Teraview.
- Strength in MS Excel would also be preferable but is not required.
- You will also need to train and become proficient in our practice management software (Leap Legal) and software systems required by lenders, such as FCT SureFund.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Motivated self-starter.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
