Position Information

**Position Title**
- Summer Camp Coordinator**Position Summary**
- If you are passionate about working with kids and looking for an opportunity to expand your teaching and team-building skills, consider joining our dynamic and innovative team as a Summer Camp Coordinator with the Division of Extended Education
- The Summer Camp Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations and delivery of Summer Adventure Camp programs offered by the Division of Extended Education, including curriculum development, preparing and purchasing materials, providing and support to instructors and promoting the programs.**Position Responsibilities**
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assists with orientation of new instructors
- Prepares and organizes lab and demonstration materials based on instructors needs
- Collects camp evaluations
- Ensures the safety and wellness of all camp participants
- Conduct research, develop and test camp curriculum and activity book compilation
- Prepares year-end report and statistical data
- Provides summer camp information to students, parents, media, instructors and general public
- Ensure fun and engaging environment
- Monitors lab safety in accordance with RDP policies
- Supervisor of learners register in camp
- Provide a positive and innovative learning experience
- Collaborates with instructors and faculty support to ensure best practices in education.

**Required Qualifications**
- Minimum of one year of post-secondary education in Science, Engineering, Education, Early childhood, Cooking, or Information Technology
- Standard First Aid & CPR certification is mandatory (minimum level B or C)
- Ability to engage with children and promote and manage a fun learning environment for them
- Strong communication skills
- Classroom management skills
- Strong work ethic -Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Experience working with children in a fast-paced environment
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Valid Driver’s license

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Prior instructional experience
- A minimum of six months of related experience
- Organizational and research skills
