We are currently seeking an:
**Accounting Clerk**

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Finance Team and assume primary responsibility for our Invoicing and Accounts Payable functions. BTI operates businesses in Canada and the US and this role supports the A/P and Invoicing activities for both businesses.
- A post - secondary education in a related business discipline is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, purchasing and/or in general accounting.
- Experience and competence using Microsoft Office products (in particular Excel) and an ERP system.
- A track record of being a reliable and dependable team member - we are a small team and need to be able to rely on everyone to do their part.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) - a big part of the role requires interfacing with other departments and with third parties to ensure understanding and/or to resolve issues.
- Flexibility - we tend to work overtime at month end, so we require that the team be prepared to work the hours needed to complete the necessary tasks (note that overtime is paid out or can be taken as time off in lieu)

**General and specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- All elements of the Invoicing Function:

- Liaising with the logistics/shipping function to confirm shipments that require invoicing.
- Confirming that jobs/work orders are closed.
- Confirming ship-to addresses and the correct sales tax and/or freight charges
- Reviewing customer Purchase Order and Quote (if applicable)
- Confirming selling price and cost (for equipment and/or parts) for interdivisional sales
- Preparing cost analysis for equipment sales
- Compliance with the established Sales controls
- Working with the Accounts Receivable function to help resolve any issues and administer adjustments, as required/approved.
- Running reports and confirming completeness and accuracy of all invoicing (and that all shipments are invoiced)
