Cornwall, Canada Diameter Services Full time

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the qualified Field Inspector will have experience working in the field on AMR/AMI Projects or similar plumbing projects within North America. He or she will conduct field inspections to help determine the type/amount of work that needs to be done at certain sites and to document the quality of work completed by the installers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Survey sites where account information is missing to determine and document work required
- Complete field site inspections on Meter and Radio Replacement
- Complete field site inspections on minor and major plumbing
- Communicate results with Quality Assurance Supervisor on a daily basis
- Plan daily inspection route based on completed sites
- Report and escalate issues to management as needed
- Perform other related duties as required

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Field Experience in Water Meter Installations and plumbing
- Ability to log observation using Diameter’s Field Software
- Excellent Health and Safety Awareness
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to assess potential risks and recommend corrective actions
- Interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail, multitasking and prioritizing

**Assets**:

- An understanding of plumbing, Advanced Metering Technology, Meter Data Management and utility business processes and practices
- Experience in the water meter industry
- Experience working with municipalities and utilities
- Plumbing background
- Fluency in both English and French

**Operational requirements**:

- Willingness and ability to work overtime, as required
- Ability to travel throughout Cornwall’s service territory
- Valid G driver’s license

**Work location**:

- The primary work location will be in the field

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cornwall, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
