**SCOPE**
Reporting to the Manager, Capital and Financing, the Analyst, Capital and Asset Management produces, validates and analyzes financial information and data pertaining to the tangible and intangible assets of the University as well as the capital budget.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Monitor, analyse, settle, reconcile and record transactions of the University’s Enterprise Asset Management program including conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventories to track and reconcile asset movements and changes, maintaining the tangible and intangible asset database and ensuring accurate asset information.
- Assist with the planning and execution of asset disposal, such as zero-waste management and the sale of assets, including the Zero Waste U-Store and the sales and donation of assets process. All of this in accordance with the University’s sustainability strategies.
- Prepare reports on asset performance, utilization, and any issues identified regarding the life cycle and efficiency of assets. This includes the determination, calculation and monitoring of the assets’ Key Performance and Risk Indicators.
- Track and reconcile the University’s assets inventory according to the Enterprise Asset Management Program, by comparing and correcting data, including active involvement and responsibility on the process of tagging of assets from their acquirement until their disposal in the various University´s information systems. All this to ensure the University’ tangible and intangible assets are properly tracked, managed, and optimized to support financial reporting and strategic decision-making.
- Monitor and ensure the compliance of the CFO-4 policy which frames the Capital Budget Policy. Including the periodic review and audit of various databases to ensure the accuracy for seasonal tasks within the Capital portfolio, such as the determination of the University´s fiscal capacity and the capital investment prioritization process amongst others. This includes the monitoring, analysis, settlement, reconciliation and recording of transactions of the Capital Budget.
- Track and determine the financial status of the University´s capital investments by analyzing actual results in comparison with budget ensuring no over-expenditures and compliance with the approved Capital Budget, including the tracking of the bridge financing of capital projects. As well as tracking of the benefits of the capital investments to the University and analysing and tracking of the budgeted contingencies of the capital projects.
- Prepare journal entries to book in the University’s financial statements and answer auditor’s questions. As well as reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data, including active involvement and responsibility on the process from the creation to the closure of capital projects in the various University´s information systems.
- Integrate the Enterprise Asset Management Program with the Capital Budget including the refinement of the capital refresh buckets with the asset inventory database amongst others.
- Assure the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of the data in reports that must be presented internally and externally to the government or other agencies.
- Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports, including supporting documents for periodic meetings, on financial status and risks in order to support management in making well-informed decisions.
- Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis. As well as conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance to develop forecast models.
- Provide key feasibility and other financial analytical support to the community that manages or tracks assets, including training on the tagging of assets; acting as the main point of contact to asset managers, ITAM stakeholders, zero-waste team, project managers of the University, as well as government contacts pertaining the recording and reporting of assets in the government data base.
