In your role as a **Business Development Associate**, you shall have to travel across Canada, the US and other territories as required for a maximum of 30% of your time to support your responsibilities and activities as well as any other specific request from your Manager. International travel will be discussed with and approved by your Manager.

The timely execution, preparation and delivery of quality RFP’s is an integral and critical part of the latter responsibility. In general, you are responsible for performing such duties and responsibilities which may be assigned to you from time to time by your Manager and the North America EPC Business Unit Board of Directors, including, without limitation, the following duties:
**New Leads and Opportunities Responsibilities**
- Assist in the development of a strategy around building meaningful relationships with current and potential new customers;
- Create a win-win scenario with clients using your negotiation and leadership skills;
- Transmit, seek from client/fill out and Sales Request Forms for every new opportunity with all relevant information and documentation available from customer;
- Prepare and execute business development action plans for target markets/clients;
- As an Associate you will offer daily accountability, support on sales calls and deal working strategies;
- Collaborate with other departments (R&D and Engineering) to develop cross-sell opportunities;
- Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your existing network;
- Support identification, review, negotiation, and evaluation of potential solar and battery storage projects in Canada and the United States;
- Establish and maintain effective contact with clients, including post award contract;
- Assist in performing market research in areas such as market size, growth potential, and market shares;
- Monitor sales activity and market conditions and adjust the business development strategy as appropriate;
- Maintain opportunities records on Company Server, CRM and/or ERP system;
- Develop and run continuously CRM standard reports and dashboards of leads, accounts, opportunities to track and analyze status, data accuracy and maintain action plan to proactively nurture and convert leads, keep database updated and help advance opportunities;
- Follow up with leads and accounts to seek new opportunities as well as with sales staff to maintain/update their records at all times;
- Provide monthly customized summary report for management;
- Attend and support virtual trade shows;
- In coordination with Marketing team, assist on maintaining the corporate website, post content and help maintain social media presence;
- Occasionally, and when time allows, prepare specific market reviews on potential regions for growth, characterizing key customers and competitors, benchmark market pricing for similar/competitive products, etc.

**Proposal Coordination Responsibilities**
- Schedule, coordinate and lead internal Business Development calls (bi-weekly);
- Maintain log and action item on tracker for weekly sales meeting;
- Prepare sales proposals for clients;
- Upload RFP submissions to Dropbox and file onto Company server;
- Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives;
- Distribute price list & manage partner distributors for GP JOULE Products (e.g. PHLEGON Fixed and SAT residential/small commercial packages) ;
- Work with your Manager in best supporting commercial relationships and contracts supporting our various sales channels (partnerships, JV, agents, etc.), as required;
- Create and continuously improve proposal templates for different standard products and services including working with technical, human resources and marketing teams to create standard sales appendices such as but not limited to health and safety records and standards, quality standards, project references, team organization and resumes, etc.
