The Supervisor, Terminal Operations provides leadership and direction to a team of office employees, overseeing the day-to-day customer service and administrative functions related to the timely movement of product into and out of the facility. The supervisor collaborates, participates, and communicates closely with the Manager, Terminal Operations, and the Dock and Dispatch leaders, ensuring successful fulfillment of customer service, the terminal and network objectives.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead and promotes a culture where Health & Safety is the #1 priority.
- Lead a team that includes warehouse employees, office staff and drivers.
- Complete yard checks, temperature checks and trailer staging daily while maintain proper documentation
- Manage Fleet & Fuel Maintenance daily.
- Plan and build outbound trips based on planned time departures and Linehaul specific requirements per trip.
- Responsible for key metrics such as P&D Cost, Dock Cost, Load Factor and more
- Implement and maintain Cold Chain Assurance programs such as HACCP, including program development, ensuring compliance, employee training and compliance reporting.
- Manage the ongoing development of talent and leadership of employees on their team.
- Collaborate effectively with all team members in Transportation, Linehaul and Warehousing to achieve daily objectives.
- Partner with the Terminal Operations leader to implement Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) related to daily customer service objectives.
- Oversee and monitor service levels and implement continuous service improvements as needed
- Prioritize customers’ needs, participating in calls and meetings as appropriate.
- Work with the Terminal Operations leadership team and the Sales team to develop retention initiatives for existing customers and build solutions to secure new customer opportunities.
- Collects and reports operational data as directed by Manager, Terminal Operations.
- Recommends continuous improvement efforts and identifies cost saving and growth initiatives.
**KEY REQUIREMENTS**
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced transportation, dispatch and/or warehousing environment.
- Bilingual: French and English (written and spoken).
- University degree or College diploma in Operations, Logistics or related field is an asset.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to recognize unique strengths and talents in each team member, and coach and develop employees to grow and encourage strengths and put development plans in place to address areas for improvement, if required for the job.
- Analytical; logical thinker with ability to think two steps ahead and successfully analyze different pieces of information and put them together like a puzzle.
- Knowledge of the logistics, supply chain and/or transportation industry preferred.
- Working knowledge of labour management, financial and other key technologies.
- Excellent people leadership abilities and dedication to continuous improvement.
- Approachable, positive demeanor and team-oriented leadership style.
- Able to work independently with mínimal direction and as part of the warehouse team.
- Proven ability to effectively prioritize and organize workflow to ensure deadlines met.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to learn quickly, be flexible and adaptable.
