**The team you will be a part of**

The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia's Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.

Network Infrastructure business group aims to accelerate digitalization and create reliable high-speed connections to homes and workplaces. NI continues to expand its footprint in the data center space and leverage its technology leadership in IP routing; there is a continued demand for network automation and orchestration.

**What you will learn and contribute to**

We seek students to join our network automation and orchestration experts team. We work closely with customers as professional services consultants to create and deliver automation solutions for our IP customers. Our deployments primarily relate to IP Networking in Nokia's Data Center solution.

Our team provides tools & custom scripting work in ansible, python and other scripting languages to enable the fulfillment of these workflows. As a co-op student, you will work closely with senior team members on tools & scripting-related tasks.

As part of the team, you will:

- Learn about Nokia's Data Center Solution
- Gain hands-on experience with OpenStack and Kubernetes
- Develop scripts to aid our team in the delivery of custom automation projects

**Your skills and experience**

**Education Recommendations**

Currently enrolled in the third or fourth year of a bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer/Software/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.

You have:

- Proficiency in Java and programming concepts
- Familiarity working with Linux operating systems
- Scripting experience (bash, Perl, Python, etc.)

It would be nice if you also had:

- Experience with virtualization technologies
