**Role and Responsibilities**:
We are seeking a Field Service Technician for the Southern Ontario, Canada region.

**We are looking for the individual to be within the South Central Ontario or GTAH area.**

communicator as the role involves direct interface with Air Products’ customers.

The Field Service Technician’s typically working hours are 8 hours a day with overtime and occasional overnight travel but is usually home on the weekend. This position requires after hours availability and must be able to respond to unplanned customer service situations which require immediate response. Regional travel in a company truck and a good driving record are required. There is also a requirement for occasional travel to other regions to assist other Field Service

Technicians.

**Required Skills / Abilities**:

- Excellent troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose, and repair complex issues.
- Ability to read prints.
- Ability and desire to put safety first, above production, efficiency, speed, external pressure, and profits.
- Ability to use hammers, drills, hammer drills, core drills, hand saws, power saws, wrenches, pliers, hand tools, brazing torches, and ladders. Welding a plus.
- Electrical: Should be comfortable working on deenergized circuits up to 480V. Able to trace and measure voltage/amperage on instrumentation circuits.
- Mechanical: Knowledge of pumps, compressors, regulators, valves, and motors.
- Spirit: Should be a self-starter, fast learner, have a desire to learn and grow, desire to be challenged, entrepreneurial. Ability to work alone for long periods of time.

**Qualifications**:

- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for interfacing customers to include report development and other required administrative functions.
- Demonstrate and practice safe work practices and willing to adhere to procedures.
- Self-motivated and demonstrates leadership and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrate quality brazing/soldering techniques.
- Strong command of English language, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic system troubleshooting and repair.
- Demonstrate ability to read engineering drawings, flow sheets, equipment layout, piping drawings and electrical controls schematics.
- PLC and instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting experience is a plus.
- Experience with supervising crane contractors for equipment lifts via cranes having load capacities up to 250 Tons.
- Clean Driving record

**Technical School Graduates are encouraged to apply**

Degrees in areas of Process, Electrical Technology, Civil, Industrial Systems, Electrical Power and Controls, Electromechanical Technology, HVAC would be well suited for this role.

**Military Personnel are encouraged to apply**

Experience in military roles as a Machinist Mate, Electricians Mate, Electronic Technician, Aircraft

Maintenance or Cryogenic Technician would be well suited for this role.
