Overview:
The Quality Coordinator contributes to the success of PepsiCo Beverages Canada by ensuring the overall sanitation and food safety management system in accordance with Company Standards to uphold trademark integrity

**Responsibilities**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee raw material component receiving, inspection, record review, control and release.
- Responsible for verification of COAs for new and revised against established specifications for all incoming raw/packaging materials
- Review holds, reworks and recommend approvals for in-process adjustments
- Support and Lead product development, qualification plan, trials and entering/updating specifications on the floor
- Leads process capability studies to maintain alignment between process capability and specifications limits in processing and filling operations
- Implement and improve quality KPIs (yield, zero defects, first time right, etc.)
- Assist in managing and coordinating the quality systems and each of its elements
- Provide training and develop documentation to drive quality in the plant
- Ensure that all internal and external specifications are being met and all product is food safe
- Manage sampling plans, rework requirements for quality holds in the plant including raw materials, WIP and Finished products
- Support the plant HACCP and quality systems initiatives focusing on continuous improvement
- Support and provide direction to personnel in syrup room and QCs on the floor
- Review technical problems and the procedural issues of departments and recommend solutions to problems or changes in procedures
- Manage the water systems testing (RO and LTS) and recommend solutions to problems/issues or changes.
- Support waste water testing (pH, calibrations, etc.)
- Define, manage and train in SPC methods for use in setting targets and limits for operational areas.
- Lead and overview the QCs in the lab to ensure all tasks, micro testing, calibration, etc. are complete and accurate
- Support cleaning and disinfection through ATP testing (swab, water samples, etc.) and follow up with all deviations and recommend actions.
- Responsible for delivery of food safety related trainings and orientation to new and existing employees.
- Performs record review and on-site verifications for CCP-PCP-OPRP operators and/or tasks related to pre-requisite programs and operation pre-requisite programs
- Ensuring all quality/food safety records are maintained and accurate
- Investigate root causes of customer and consumer complaints
- Interact with production workers, supervisors and managers to provide information and answer food safety related questions
- Assist and support in the preparation and execution of third party audits of all kinds
- Set standards and monitor procedures to ensure food safety at all stages of the operation, including receiving, production, packaging and shipping.
- Review, evaluate and analysis of verification activities trending to highlight opportunities for improvement.
- Managing calibration for all quality and food safety related equipment including lab.
- Ordering and managing the inventory for lab supplies
- Ensures follow-through and completion corrective action for non-compliance and deviations
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
**Qualifications**:

- College’s diploma and/or a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, preferably in a high speed manufacturing environment
- Prior experience in Sanitation, Quality and Food Safety preferre

**Skills & Capabilities**:

- Strong communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and influence management skills
- Incumbent must be able to prioritize and perform multiple tasks without losing momentum while also completing all daily tasks efficiently and effectively
- Demonstrated planning and organization skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends
