**Specific responsibilities include**:

- Building and leading a planning and dispatch team
- Leading behavioral and process change
- Define and communicate clear expectations.
- Develop meaningful measurable KPI and accountability for the performance.
- Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize cost, service, and quality of service.
- Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods to optimize driver efficiency and hours worked.
- Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure smooth transportation processes.
- Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Manage and maintain relationships with carriers and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing and service levels.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support supply chain initiatives and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Ensuring Yard capacities are managed effectively, and parking areas are assigned.
- Foster an environment built around a high level of expectations, efficiencies, and service.
- Understand the operational costs that influence daily decisions.
- Ensure team members understand and make the right decisions based on cost and other influences.
- Improve planning, fleet management, and customer service efficiencies to reduce cost and improve profit margins.
- Educational background in Supply Chain Management (or other relevant area such as Business)
- Dedicated experience providing customer service in a similar work environment.
- Well organized, an excellent communicator and have a keen sense of timeliness.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, communication, problem solving and planning abilities.
- Knowledge of the transportation industry and knowledge of city geography are considered assets.
- Experience using Trimble software such as TMW.
- Hands on Experience creating and implementing Operational Processes.
- Team Leadership - Experience in managing people.
- Behavioral change management
- Ability to coach individuals and create staff development / growth plans.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
