**Job Description**:
**AECOM **is looking for a **Civil Specialist **to join its Environmental Remediation team in Markham or Mississauga, ON. This is a **Full-time **role.

The role includes and is not limited to the following responsibilities.
- Assist in preparing geotechnical field investigation programs including coordination of the programs with various parties.
- Communicate effectively with others within the team and with internal and external clients.
- Support Senior Engineers with the preparation of competitive proposals and work plans.
- Support with the preparation of contract documents and specifications for construction projects
- Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
- Correlate and analyze engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
- Perform and manage work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
- Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.

**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil or Geological Engineering
- +4 years of related experience within the civil, geological or geotechnical engineering field.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Masters' Degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
- +6 years of project management and field experience within the field of geotechnical engineering.
- Construction oversight, QAQC, contract administration.
- Highly developed written communication, time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills; conduct yourself with integrity, work within multi-disciplined teams, deal with complex issues, and maintain effective working relationships.
- Have a high level of initiative and enthusiasm for getting things done.
- Experience in Contract Administration (CA).
- Proficient with MS Office Suite; excellent knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Valid and unrestricted driver's license.
