**Reports to**:Operations Leader (Sanitation Leader)

**Responsibilities**:

- Inspect batching and crushing area to design and determine sanitation protocols.
- Facilitate the coordination, monitoring, organizing, and distribution of work schedules for the sanitation team.
- Perform daily inspections of the manufacturing facility and reporting any irregularities to the sanitation leader.
- Routinely clean and disinfect high touch points throughout the plant and ensure standard operating procedures are always followed.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning products and personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow up when needed.
- Execute, manage, and oversee completion of provided work assignments of team members and assist according to demand and workflow.
- Implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulatory authorities.
- Monitor preparation and use of cleaning chemicals.
- Perform waste disposal and recycling services and monitor products marked for destruction.
- Overlook training program of sanitation team members.
- Ensure regular replenishing of all facility dispensers including paper, soap, and production garments.
- Observe all safety rules and promote a safe working environment with team members.
- Maintain strict GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.
- Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- College diploma in a related field and 1+ years of experience in a cleaning role
- Experience in a food processing environment, with familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures an asset
- Detailed knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols
- Self-motivated and able to work with mínimal supervision
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are needed
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
- Know and meet the requirements under the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
