**Location - **This position offers a flexible work arrangement, allowing for a combination of remote and/or in-office work based on work preferences. We welcome applicants from across Alberta. In the event that you need to work on-site, you may have the flexibility to attend either the Edmonton or Calgary offices based on your location and convenience. Preference will be discussed during the recruitment process.

**Working for the Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute (ABMI)**
ABMI is dedicated to tracking changes in biodiversity across the entirety of Alberta for the next 100 years, and this resultant information provides Albertans the ability to make informed decisions about the state of their environment in ways never before possible.
**Position**
Working in the ABMI's Information Centre, the Biodiversity Reporting Coordinator position is responsible for coordinating the design and delivery of biodiversity reports across a breadth of ecological topics, for example, wetlands and habitat mapping, species monitoring of multiple taxonomic groups, and ecological data initiatives. This is a highly collaborative position, serving as the point of connection between multiple internal and external partners.
**Duties**
The Biodiversity Reporting Coordinator is responsible for leading and executing a range of biodiversity reporting projects to support the effective mobilization of data and information outcomes from the ABMI's growing roster of monitoring programs.
- Leads and facilitates the development of biodiversity reporting products as they support the needs of end-users, ABMI partners, and ABMI's Strategic Plan working with ABMI senior leadership, ABMI staff, and project collaborators to conduct necessary project work.
- Supports the full reporting lifecycle including initiation (e.g., proposal writing), planning, delivery, engagement, and maintenance of products.
- Ensures the successful completion of biodiversity reporting products on time and on budget through effective project management, including tracking deliverables and interdependencies, breaking down and prioritizing tasks, ensuring open lines of communication across the project teams, and coordinating frequent team meetings and discussions.
- Coordinates and manages multidisciplinary teams (e.g. scientists, developers, graphic designers, stakeholders) to execute the delivery of reporting projects
- Provides leadership and expertise related to the planning, implementation, and maintenance of multiple biodiversity reporting products across a breadth of topics that vary over time.
**Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of working experience in the field of environmental monitoring, ecology, or natural resource management.
- Proven experience in writing, researching, and editing within a professional context, particularly in areas related to environmental science.
- Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex scientific concepts into clear, concise, and engaging language for a variety of formats, including print, web, and video.
- Experience communicating scientific ideas to diverse audiences, tailoring the message to suit both technical and non-technical audiences.
