**Big Brothers Sisters of St. Thomas Elgin (BBBSTE)** has been empowering
Elgin County’s children and youth to find positive perspectives and reach their full potential through mentoring relationships for over 50 years. We are seeking a creative, sales oriented and self-motivated **Recruitment and Marketing Co
- ordinator **to join our team.

**Job Type**: Full-Time 2 Year Contract - 35 hours per week
**Position Summary**:
This unique role will work directly with the Executive Director. This individual will be a dynamic self-motivated individual that will recruit volunteers and help create compelling campaigns to reduce the significant number of children waiting to be matched with a mentor.
The position will work out of our office in St. Thomas. However, you will be expected to spend significant time out in the community connecting with potential volunteers and increasing awareness of BBBSTE to families needing support and recruiting volunteers to join the organization.

**What you’ll do at BBBSTE**
Recruit adult volunteers to help us reach our strategic goal of serving 100+ children/youth annually.
You will also:

- Be a visible and dynamic ambassador for BBBSTE in the community.
- Develop and steward relevant community relationships for recruitment and referrals.
- Engage in a variety of networking activities to promote a volunteer recruitment campaign.
- Co-develop and implement action plans with strategies to increase awareness of our need for volunteers and opportunities for children/youth.
- Assist in the development of recruitment and other promotional campaign messaging along with production and distribution of print and digital assets.
- Facilitate information sessions for prospective volunteers.
- Organize, coordinate, and participate in volunteer recruitment fairs and promotion opportunities. This includes opportunities at post-secondary institutions and with other
- Build relationships with referral partners to encourage referrals of volunteers and children
- Abide by Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Canada National Standards as required.
- Attend agency events, and be an ambassador for BBBSTE as requested.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to the privacy statement as set out in the

Policies and Procedures at Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Thomas-Elgin.

**Job Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Volunteer Management or other related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in lead generation, new business development, and recruitment considered an asset.
- Experience in the creation and execution of traditional, digital and social media marketing campaigns.
- Appreciation for community development. Feel a strong sense of community connection to wanting to promote BBBSTE and grow the program in our neighbourhoods. A passion, and interest in, working with children and youth.
- Strong interpersonal, motivational, presentation, networking and communication skills

(oral and written)
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel &
PowerPoint, CRM Systems and design programs including Canva, Adobe Suite, and social media tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weeknights and some weekends, as required.
- This position requires in-office work (with little remote work) and travelling throughout the community. Must have a valid Ontario class ‘G’ driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle. Mileage reimbursement provided.
- Criminal Record check with a Vulnerable Sector Screening is required upon job offer.
