GBC caters to single and multi-family residential building contractors and developers, as well as, renovation and single permit customers in the Calgary and surrounding areas. We are currently searching for an experienced full-time **Inside Sales Representative **who will consistently demonstrate GBC’s passion for customer service and quality.

**Position Description**

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Process quotes, orders and prepare documents to fulfill customer needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Must have ability to read and understand floor plans and have a strong aptitude for numbers.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers throughout order process and related activities.
- Be responsive and attentive to both external and internal customers’ needs and assist in the resolution of any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Be a receptive listener to comments and complaints; research and process back-charges, no charges and credits.
- Assist with pricing and negotiations.
- Be a product expert, must be knowledgeable on product information, blueprints, in-stock and backorders, etc.
- Edit orders, communicate necessary questions, adjustments or changes, special order needs, backorders, etc.
- Ensure orders are accurate, completed and submitted properly before forwarding to be processed.
- Be a team player by assisting all team members including but not limited to accounting, purchasing, sales, warehouse, hardware and project coordinators to execute each sale accurately and efficiently.
- Answer questions regarding shipping dates and attempt to expedite if requested.
- Maintain accurate files including all product and customer information, credits, back-charges, etc.
- Maintain professional level in all contacts with internal and external customers.
- Be able to quickly learn a complex library of sku's, and information to assist the customer in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
- Maintain communications with sales people regarding issues, backorders, pricing, discounts and other information pertinent to company and our relationship with our customers and distributors.
- Working with the Warehouse Manager to ensure full transparency on all orders.

**Qualifications**
- Required to have a strong attention to detail and an ability to interpret and process data efficiently and accurately with a strong aptitude for numbers.
- Ability to read floor plans/blueprints.
- Must be highly attentive and be able to manage time effectively to ensure deadlines are met.
- Must possess exceptional customer service skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office environment.
- Must have the ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities while maintaining a professional and positive attitude.
- Demonstrated success as a strong team player that takes pride in their work and always maintains a professional image.
- Experience in order desk, building materials, estimating, and/or construction is considered a strong asset.
- Must have excellent communication skills (Written and Spoken English).

**Education and/or Experience**
- Post secondary education with a focus on Marketing, Business Admin and/or equivalent is considered a strong asset.
- 1-3 years of order desk and/or inside sales.
- Estimating experience is considered an asset.

**Salary**: $20.00 per hour
