**Brief Description**

As a Construction Estimator at FCC, your duties consist of preparing estimates for residential and commercial projects. You will create pricing structures based on drawings and specification as well as compile bids, quotes and proposals from trade partners. The Estimator will oversee initial site visits and client consultations with the Project Coordinator to provide accurate costs of projects used in the tender process.

**Hours**
- Full-time : Monday to Friday

**Tasks**
- Develop estimates and bids for construction projects (residential and commercial)
- Request, collect and organize quotes from subcontractors, vendors and suppliers
- Identify labour, material, and time requirements from reviewing bids, quotes, drawings, and any related documents.
- Prepare bids, charts, technical information as required to support quotes
- Recommend cost effective alternate solutions to supervisor and clients upon request

**Working Conditions**
- This is a permanent, full time, year-round position;
- Indoor, office work as well as indoor/outdoor site visits
- **Wage will be based on experience**.

**Qualifications & Requirements**
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; including Word & Excel
- Previous experience working as an estimator required - this can be for an employer or as an entrepreneur doing job costing for their own business.
- Detail oriented and able to understand technical drawings and specifications
- In depth knowledge of construction processes and knowledge of building code
