The Markham District Baseball Association (MDBA) is a member of Baseball Ontario and the York Simcoe Baseball Association. We are in year 3 of our Elite baseball program, training players in the 14U, 15U, 16U, and 18U age categories, and have had great success.

The program offers coaches a state-of-the-art off-season facility for training to grow and develop players at an Elite level. Markham District Baseball’s team is committed to offering the highest level of support to Coaches and Players with dedicated resources specific to our Elite Program. With a commitment to developing players with consistency in coaching and training. The MDBA’s Elite Program is quickly becoming the strongest community based elite program in Southern Ontario.

For the 2024/2025 season, The Markham District Baseball Association’s Elite Baseball Program will participate in the Elite Baseball League of Ontario (EBLO) and will focus on the development of youth baseball players in preparation for future endeavors, including college, university, and professional levels. The MDBA Elite Program is looking to hire coaches with professional knowledge and experience to provide baseball development and instruction for all ages and skill levels.

MDBA is seeking a qualified and passionate baseball coaches to join our program for the 2024/25 season and beyond. The most successful coaches in our organization have a passion for the game and a willingness to continue to grow their own skills, while developing like-minded players. This position is ideal for former and current university or college players who are interested in staying in the game of baseball and sharing their baseball knowledge and skills with the next generation of players. Availability for the position will begin with Fall baseball season (Sept-Oct), off-season training (Jan-Apr) with our regular season running from May to August.

Qualifications:

- NCCP Certification
- Coaching experience (1 year min)
- Baseball player experience (2+ years at pro, university or college level preferred)
- Experience working with youth players.
- Demonstrated ability to run a structured practice and manage a game.

Required:

- Valid Standard Emergency First Aid and CPR-C within two years
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Valid G licence and access to a vehicle
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Ability to travel to the US
- Available for evening and weekend practices, games, and tournaments from January to October
