Job Overview:
As a Fresh Department Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and freshness of our produce and deli/bakery goods. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment. The primary responsibilities include inspecting, handling, and packaging various fresh products, as well as maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Quality Assurance**:

- Inspect incoming produce, deli, and bakery goods to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Identify and report any issues with product quality, freshness, or expiration dates.
- Receiving and Stocking:

- Receive deliveries of department-related products and ensure accurate and efficient stocking.
- Safely and promptly put away merchandise, maintaining proper storage conditions.
- Product Packaging and Maintenance:

- Package and label produce products according to established guidelines.
- Trim, cut, and package production items to meet presentation and quality standards.
- Monitor and rotate stock to minimize waste and ensure freshness.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Stand and work on your feet for extended periods during an 8-hour shift.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and ergonomic practices to prevent injuries.

**Environment**:

- Warehouse
- Work in a cool environment (0-4c) to maintain the freshness of products.
- Follow temperature control procedures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

**Qualifications**:

- Basic knowledge of produce characteristics and handling practices.
- Previous experience in a similar retail or warehouse role.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is a plus.
