**What you’ll do**:
The specific responsibilities of the Food Store Associate include but are not limited to the following:

- Ensure guests are handled with the utmost courtesy and that all guest inquiries are dealt with in a prompt and service orientated manner.
- Provide excellent service to guests in a courteous, efficient manner by asking their needs and help them in making purchases.
- Maintain high standards of work and safety.
- Stock, rotate and display fresh produce and merchandise in a neat and appealing manner - including watering, trimming, and merchandising to ensure quality and freshness.
- Keep shelves fully stocked with fresh products.
- Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of the Produce Value Added program.
- Prepare/package product for sale.
- Loading and unloading of product from delivery trucks.
- Stock product to shelves and cases, avoiding damage.
- Discard expired items on special promotions.
- Assist with receiving, ordering and make claims or credits, as needed.
- Assist in organizing and directing the activities and operations of the department.
- Escort guests to their appropriate aisle or shelf in order to assist with purchasing decisions.
- Ensure the store is clean, safe and maintained by cleaning racks, table, back room, coolers and freezers and perform other duties as assigned.
- Prepare store displays and ensure products are accurately labelled.
- Process guest orders and payments.
- Discard expired items and place near expiry items on special promotions.
- Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of **Integrity, Community and Excellence**.

**Who you are**:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:

- Previous guest service experience in a retail setting is an asset but not required.
- Experience as a grocery clerk or retail experience is an asset but not required.
- Previous Produce experience is an asset but not required.
- Previous Meat experience is an asset but not required.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work efficiently in a team setting as well as independently in a fast-paced environment.
- ** Must be available 7 days a week to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, afternoons, and evenings.**:

- This is a physical job requiring the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Must have basic math and basic computer skills.
- Must be committed to a **SAFE** working environment.
- This position is based at the **Brickyard Station Food Store**, though it may require on some occasions to travel and work at other locations as business needs arise.
