**About Blue Bell Academy**:
Blue Bell Academy is a family-owned childcare company that opened their doors in 2015. We are located in the upper beaches area and most recently opened a new location in Little India/Leslieville. Both centres have a small capacity with small classroom sizes.

As a RECE Supervisor, you will oversee the planning and directing the program of the center while also maintaining the day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for administrative items like maintenance of children and staff files, compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (“CCEYA”) and Ministry of Education criteria, waitlist, payroll reporting etc. Managing staffing: shift schedules, overseeing/directing staff members and training.

The Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and stability in the development and direct delivery of the program, as well as being a professional, dedicated, and enthusiastic RECE able to exercise sensitivity and maturity in dealing with both children and adults.

**Job Requirements**:

- A degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education
- In good standing and a member of the College of ECE's
- Minimum 3 years experience as an Early Childhood Educator
- Experience using the app HiMama or other communication platforms is an asset
- A valid Vulnerable Sectors Check
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR (Level C) or ability to obtain immediate before start date.
- Extensive knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act
- Extensive knowledge of the College of Early Childhood Educator’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice
- Extensive knowledge of Ontario’s pedagogy “How Does Learning Happen” and “ELECT”
- Extensive knowledge of Toronto Public Health requirements when working in a childcare setting
- Strong communication skills including active listening and reading comprehension
- Critical thinking, monitoring, and observing
- Time management and leadership skills

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring the day-to-day operations are conducted to Ministry of Education standards as per the Child Care Centre Licensing Manual
- Complying with all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual licensing requirements
- Hiring, terminating, and overseeing staff, students, and volunteers
- Staff scheduling and payroll reporting
- Actively participating in the training and development of staff
- Ensuring that Blue Bell Academy’s Policies and Procedures are adhered to
- Leading staff meetings in a manner that reflects a thoughtful, committed ideology, and best practices for children
- Waitlist maintenance
- Overseeing and managing cleaning service and kitchen operations
- Managing all staff and children’s files
- Ensuring staff are communicating effectively with parents via HiMama app
- Training new staff on daily routines, Policies and Procedures and HiMama reports

Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
