Lunchtime Supervisor

**We are looking for someone reliable, hard-working and caring who believes in the potential of children and the beauty of independence to join our Support staff team for children at our High Park location for children ages 18 months to 12 years of age.**

**The role begins at 11 a.m each day working in classrooms providing lunch time supervision then working in the extended care program in the later afternoon, ending at 6 p.m.**

**The role will require/include**:

- **Supporting the children as needed throughout classroom work periods, outdoor times, transitions, lunch, (diapering/toileting as needed), arrival and dismissal, if needed.**:

- **Cleaning/sanitization and maintenance of the classroom and other areas, as needed.**:

- **Redirect, guide and support children towards independence in collaboration with the Lead Teacher and teaching assistants.**:

- **Provide safe and nurturing supervision of toddler, preschool and school aged children.**:

- **Guide, model and support a calm positive environment for the children.**:

- **Engage actively with the children to support enriched learning experiences.**:

- **Being available to work Monday-Friday 11 a.m -6 p.m**:

- **Other duties as assigned.**

- **A clear police record check (vulnerable sector)**:

- **Valid Standard First Aid and CPR (level C) certificate**:

- **RECE, ECE, OCT or equivalent considered an asset**:

- **Experience with the Montessori method considered an asset**

**Salary**: $16.00-$20.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
