This position of Regional Assistant Controller reports to the Regional Controller and is located within the regional dealership under their responsibility. This position requires the ability to meet deadlines, communicate concisely with the dealership leadership team and have high degree of accuracy. The Assistant Controller will be privy to highly confidential information and will be accountable for a high level of discretion and maintaining privacy and confidentiality.

**POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the store to ensure that all transactions are recorded in compliance with dealership accounting processes and policies.
- Ensures that all manufacturer accounts, including warranty claims, rebates, interest protection and co-op advertising are current and accurate.
- Reviews the scheduled accounts on a frequent basis. Notes any unusual entries and investigates.
- Assists with annual audit (or review) and physical inventory.
- Continually strives to improve data integrity and information reporting throughout the dealership.
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the store to ensure that all transactions are recorded in compliance with dealership accounting processes and policies.
- Manage vehicle contracts once initiated by sales consultant and ensure timely filing of them.
- Ensure warranty and other F&I contracts are completed and filed.
- Ensure that funding documents are fully completed and signed by customers, then sent to the relevant funding company for processing.
- Ensure that Retail Delivery Registration (RDR) takes place for each vehicle sold. This is registering the vehicle to the manufacturer.
- Ensure that all documents are fully completed and included in customer file.
- Stocking cars in DMS and other systems once they have arrived on site. (Inventory Team will do the purchasing and the flooring of these vehicles).
- Ensure that licensing for sold vehicles takes place in a timely manner by the administrative staff.
- Once deals are complete, the paperwork needs to be scanned to the Deals Team at Head Office. This must happen within 48 hours of the car being delivered.
- Confirm that deposit has been received for sold vehicles.
- Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with company and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintains a positive working relationship with team members and management in a team environment.
- Responsible for overseeing the Licensing, Lease buy-outs and Dealer Traders documentation.
- Manage and safeguard the stores assets and ensure that internal controls are in place.
- Manage administrative accounting staff within the dealership where needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Regional Controller or VP of Finance

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Accounting Diploma/Degree
- 3 to 5 years experience in an organization with multiple dealerships
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Strong Analytical skills
- Previous automotive accounting experience with CDK software
- Must be detail oriented, accurate, well-organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in Hamilton within an automotive dealership

Salary based on skills and experience $58,000 - $65,000 annually
