**Duties**:

- Coordinates and collaborates referral services between COSTI’s Education, Settlement and Refugee Division’s services providing and supporting asylum seekers seeking employment supports.
- Outreaches to Community Partner for asylum seeker referrals
- Provides and ensures the smooth day-to-day operations of the Asylum Seekers employment services.
- Provides and coordinates the delivery of employment services, workshops, information sessions to Asylum seekers and employers interested in hiring Asylum seekers within the community.
- Provides, coordinates, schedules participant intake, assessment, delivery of client services and workshops that assist and support participant’s access to meaningful employment.
- Provides and assists Asylum Seekers develop an individualized employment career path plan that assist them identify next steps to achieving their realistic employment goals.
- Plans, schedules and delivers various pre-employment workshops, information sessions on regulatory and credential assessment process, sector specific workshops and workplace culture and expectations, Human Rights Code, Health and Safety and labour laws, Job Search Techniques, Interview techniques and preparation, Labour Market Information, and community resources that support their integration into employment, etc.
- Engages guest speakers that support workshop and information sessions.
- Provides and assists in the development targeted employers interested in hiring Asylum Seekers through job fairs and other Centre activities such as employer networking events, mentoring, and/or related employment-training events.
- Develops employer contacts to create job opportunities for participants accessing programs and services.
- Develops and maintains positive and productive working relationships with other community and training providers and partners to support Asylum Seekers access to these services.
- Develops and collaborates with community service providers such as Employment Ontario, Bridge Training programs and services to establish and provide a seamless referral process.
- Provide and conducts regularly scheduled follow ups with participants to ensure that their Employment Path Action plan is being followed.
- Ensures that all program service targets are met including placements.
- Provides, supports and assists in the job placement of participants to ensure placement targets are met.
- Orients and trains mentors and mentees, where appropriate and evaluates/ensures match sustainability by conducting follow-up with mentee and mentor.
- Ensures that appropriate program service documentation is maintained and meets quality standards.
- Inputs all client service data and information in CIS. Monitors and cross checks accuracy of data in tracking systems (Excel).
- Prepares regular monthly, quarterly and annual statistical service reports as needed for reporting purposes to the agency and funders.

**Qualifications**:

- Career and Work Diploma or equivalent with relevant practicum experience.
- A minimum of one (1) years of experience in job development, successfully placing individuals within their professions.
- Experience working with newcomers and internationally trained professionals
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience group facilitation and employment counselling experience, specifically within Employment Ontario guidelines specifically with vulnerable Newcomers, refugees, and internationally trained professionals.
- Strong coordination, organizational and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated experience working in a team environment providing coaching, guidance and support.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
- Resourceful and flexible individual with experience in dealing with employers and assessing employer needs.
- Verbal and written fluency in English. The ability to speak any other language would be an asset.
- Required to travel to employer sites throughout the GTA, access to a reliable vehicle is necessary.
- Must be available to work variable hours occasionally, depending on Centre activities and events.

**Starting Salary Range**:

- $57,156 to $59,923 per annum plus benefits
